October 2017: after 15 years, Robert Crease, philosopher of science, is back to the single electron interference experiment with an article on the Physics World, the same journal which, in 2002, after a poll among the readers, elected this experiment as the "most beautiful" in physics, ever. The article discusses the concept of "sublime" in science, and concludes that the single electron interference experiment has all the features to be defined in such a way.
