Here we examine in details the tricks of the trade which allowed our protagonists to carry out successfully the single electron interference experiment, utilizing an electron microscope suitably modified, even though in the early sixties Nobel Laureate Richard Feynman had predicted that the performance of such experiment would have to overcome unsurmountable technical obstacles.
