Lucio Morettini, member of the Physics Dept. of the University of Modena, in charge of the Dept. of Scientific Cinematography of the LAMEL-CNR Laboratory, directed the filming of “Interference of Electrons”. Deceased in 2005. The picture brings us back to 1976, when he directed TV broadcasts on Electron Microscopy together with Pier Giorgio Merli and Giuseppe Morandi within the framework of the educational RAI serial “Sapere” ("Knowledge"). |

Ugo Valdrè, member of the dept. of Physics of the University of Bologna. Full professor, doing research in the field of Electron Microscopy, at the time of the experiment was in charge of the research team of this discipline in the dept. The picture goes back to 1976, when the TV broadcasts on Electron Microscopy were aired by Pier Giorgio Merli, Giuseppe Morandi and Lucio Morettini for the RAI serial “Sapere” ("Knowledge"). |

Beside the scientists mentioned above, many other contributed to the realization of the experiment and of the movie. Among the technical personnel of the time, we remember Renato Angelucci, Leonello Dori, Riccardo Lotti, Arturo Maggi and Ivano Vecchi (LAMEL-CNR) and Giorgio Matteucci (Physics Dept. of the University of Bologna). The latter eventually became a rsearcher and to this day keeps the educational aspects of the Elctron Microscopy experiments going. We also like to remember Oriano Donati, at that time a student doing his thesis work, who in collaboration with Giorgio Matteucci succeeded in establishing the technique for the production of the thin wire for the electronic interferometer. We also record the collaboration of professors Angelo Bairati and Aurelio Bairati, of the Institute of Human Anatomy of the University of Milan and of Engeneers Giovanni Boninsegna and Dino Vergonbello of the Siemens S.p.A. |
